Iwona Boesche is a Polish violinist whose exceptional talent is recognized internationally after winning prizes in international violin competitions in Warsaw (1995), and Mexico (1997).

She has held the Yamaha Scholarship awarded to the best violin student in Poland, and a Scholarship awarded by the Polish Ministry of Culture and Arts.

For seven years she collaborated with the eminent violinist Kaja Danczowska at the Academy of Music in Krakow, first as a student (graduated with Distinction), and latterly as Assistant Professor. Iwona then studied at the Royal College of Music with Grigori Zhislin and Dona Lee Croft. Whilst a student at the college she won several important awards including the Ian Stoutzker and Wollman Prizes. She is now a violin teacher at the College's junior department. In September 2005 Iwona started teaching at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
